# Interview prep — the brief as pasted (message 1) I have an interview on Thursday for a Customer Success Manager role at a B2B software company in Lisbon. Here is the job description: "Customer Success Manager (Lisbon, hybrid). Own a portfolio of 40–60 mid-market accounts across Portugal and Spain for a SaaS billing platform. Run onboarding for new customers, lead quarterly business reviews, drive renewals and expansion, and keep net churn under 5%. You will work in HubSpot daily, coordinate with Support and Product on escalations, and report on account health to the Head of CS. Requirements: 3+ years in a customer success or support role at a SaaS company; a track record of hitting renewal targets; comfortable presenting to finance and operations stakeholders; fluent English and Portuguese, Spanish a plus; experience with HubSpot or a similar CRM." Here is my background: Five years in hotel front-office management in Lisbon (a 180-room four-star hotel: ran a team of nine, owned guest satisfaction scores, handled escalations and corporate accounts). Then one year as a support agent at a Lisbon payments startup (Zendesk tickets, onboarding calls for small merchants, first-line escalations to engineering). Portuguese native, English C1, conversational Spanish. No HubSpot experience; I have used Zendesk and Salesforce Service Cloud. Give me the 8 questions they are most likely to ask, with a strong answer outline for each that uses MY background, not a generic one. Then start a mock interview: ask me the first question and wait for my answer. # Message 2 (identical for every tool, sent after the tool's first reply) My answer: I think my biggest strength is that I'm good with people. In the hotel I dealt with guests every day and they were usually happy with me. At the startup I answered tickets and tried to be fast. I would say I'm organised and I like helping customers succeed, and I'm a quick learner so HubSpot wouldn't be a problem.
